My brothers and sisters of the Nile Basin countries, this is a message from your brothers and sisters in Egypt. Let us work together hand in hand to preserve the resources of this river, to save every drop of water for our countries development and to provide food security for our children.

My brothers and sisters in Burundi and Ethiopia,  my brothers and sisters in Rwanda and Sudan, my brothers and sisters in the Congo and Eritrea, my brothers and sisters in Kenya and Uganda, my brothers and sisters in Tanzania,  we believe that the Nile brings us together.

Its water is flowing in all of our veins. Let us come together to work against everything that seeks to divides us, against those trying to cause conflict between us. Put your hand in my hand. Put your heart on my heart in order to protect our common future, to ensure the development of our countries and to achieve all of our worthy needs from the river´s water.
