In collaboration with ENTRO´s Regional Project Coordinator for Eastern Nile Watershed Management Project, a team from NBD paid visit to the Ethiopia watershed sites and took stock of the project implementations, lessons, achievements and challenges in light of NBI´s shared vision and shared benefits.

The project aims to address the community´s immediate needs via livelihood improvement and promotes sustainable land use practices to reverse land degradation and conserve the natural resource capacity of the targeted area. It was evident that the design and implementation process was inclusive of the community´s participation as the activities all addressed the needs of the community. The visit aimed at collecting evidence to raise awareness on the benefit and cost of cooperation. NBD has in consultation with ENTRO selected current ENSAP projects that best exemplify NBI´s shared vision and benefits sharing in consultation with key ENTRO staff. NBD plans to visit the Sudan watershed to obtain inclusive evidence and regional perspective on the project.
