NBD News

The Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) joined other partners, namely the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI), Global Water Partnership Eastern Africa (GWP-East Africa), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Deustche Welle in awarding outstanding journalists on Nile issues. The event took place on 4th June 2015 in Dodoma - Tanzania.
On the 4th of June, 2015, the Nile Basin Discourse; at the representation of the Regional Manager, Dr. Hellen Natu the NBD Board Chairperson, Mr. Jean Baptiste Habiyaremye and the NBD Board Member - Kenya, Mr. Joseph Peter Ngome attended the 23rd annual Nile Council of Ministers (Nile-COM) meeting in Dodoma - Tanzania.  The Nile-COM comprises of Ministers in charge of Water Affairs from the Nile Basin Member States and is the highest decision and policy-making organ of the Nile Basin...
The Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) is conducting Stakeholder Mapping in the 10 Nile Basin Riparian States with the intent to address communities’ interests and concerns pertaining to social and climate resilience investment policies, projects and programs. An effective stakeholder engagement process presupposes a robust stakeholder mapping product to base the discourse platforms on.
Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) received a special invitation to participate and present 3 papers in the 7th World Water Forum, Daegu & Gyeongbuk 2015 - "Water for our future". NBD is represented by the Regional Manager, DR.
